
In June 2024, we saw the release of Oracle Integration 3 v24.06 and with it, we yet again see a bunch of new features. In this post I will document some of the key features that you can now take advantage of. Note – for full release information, please visit Oracle documentation here.
This is Oracle’s 3rd release for the year. see my other posts (NEW FEATURES in Oracle Integration 3! (24.04), NEW FEATURES in Oracle Integration 3! (24.02)) to read about other new features we have seen this year.
NEW Common Features
New Common features of Oracle Integration 3 include:
- New integration recipes:
- Sign and verify messages using OCI vault

- Import worker data from an FTP server to Oracle HCM Cloud

- Import employee records from an FTP server to Oracle HCM Cloud

- Sync project details from Oracle Primavera Cloud to PostgreSQL using Amazon SQS

- Export campaign data in bulk from snowflake to salesforce marketing cloud using GCP storage

- Import orders from Zuora to a Hasura supported database

- Export employee images from Oracle HCM cloud to an FTP server

- Enhancements to OCI Logging analytics. Replayed parent instance ID, Instance completion state and Parent event ID are now published to the activity stream service logs
NEW Integration Features
New integration features of Oracle Integration 3 include:
- The Rapid Adapter Builder (mentioned in NEW FEATURES in Oracle Integration 3! (24.02) and NEW FEATURES in Oracle Integration 3! (24.04)) now allows you to update an adapter definition document with new requests from an OpenAPI document, supports creating and importing of adapter bundles and supports OAuth JWT User Assertion and OAuth JWT Client Assertion security policies.
- Event support available in projects. It’s now possible to create an event, publish the event in an integration and subscribe to the event in an event integration. You can also export and clone projects that include events and monitor subscribed events in a project from the observe tab or the subscriptions page.
- The allowable number of active integrations has been increased from 700 to 800
- String length has been increased to 10,000 characters
- Automatic reset of debug tracing level from “Debug (Not Recommended)” to “Production” has now be implemented meaning that after 24 hours in “Debug (Not Recommended)” status, the tracing level will be downgraded
- There is now an “active integrations count” by project where you can view the total number of application-type, schedule-type and event-type integrations
- You can now view dependencies between resources within a project
- Project deployment page has been redesigned

- Viewing the execution time of a looping action can now be done at an overall execution time or to view the 10 slowest iterations of the loop

- Enhancements to email notifications
- email address verification whereby an email with a verification code is send to the input sender email address
- Suppression list shows the list of suppressed emails by default
- The number of emails sent as per the instance limit includes successful and unsuccessful attempts
NEW Adapters & Connectivity
With this release we see the following new adapters available out-of-the-box:

| IBM MQ Series JMS | Now provides support for JSON payloads |
| MySQL | Now support 100MB structured payloads for cloud and 50MB structured payloads with the connectivity agent |
| Microsoft SQL Server | Now support 100MB structured payloads for cloud and 50MB structured payloads with the connectivity agent |
| PostgreSQL | Now support 100MB structured payloads for cloud and 50MB structured payloads with the connectivity agent |
| IBM DB2 | Now support 100MB structured payloads for cloud and 50MB structured payloads with the connectivity agent |
| SAP ASE (Sybase) | Now support 100MB structured payloads for cloud and 50MB structured payloads with the connectivity agent |
| Netezza | Now support 100MB structured payloads for cloud and 50MB structured payloads with the connectivity agent |
| Snowflake | Now support 100MB structured payloads for cloud and 50MB structured payloads with the connectivity agent |
| Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ) | Now supports connecting to the Oracle database using a Single Client Access Name (SCAN) |

| Coupa Sourcing | Coupa adapter renamed to Coupa Sourcing adapter |
| Azure Active Directory | Introduces new operations that can be performed on the user business object for outbound invocations |
| Azure Event Grid | Now supports XML payload and XML namespace in the trigger (inbound) direction. |
| SAP S/4HANA Cloud | Now certified on S/4HANA 2024. |
| Shopify | Now certified on 2024-01 and 2024-04 API versions. |
